The Dance and the New Girl
The next day, Billy is very dateless. He's desperate to find a date for the Homecoming Dance. He has a crush on General Seymour Morshower's daughter, Gwen McQueen - an old friend of Tony's - but Gwen doesn't want him around Billy, considering him her stalker.
BILLY:
I thought Picture Day was already over.
(At the Tech Hall, with nobody around but himself, Tony and AJ, Billy recalls his current frustration why he doesn't have a date for the Homecoming Dance.)
BILLY:
This stinks. Everyone got someone except me.
AJ:
You're not the only one. I don't neither.
BILLY:
When was the last time you had a crush on a girl and has ever went on a date with one?
AJ:
Never.
BILLY:
Hmph! Sucks to be you. (scoffs) Figures. (turns to Tony) Tony, have you ever fell in-- I mean - been in love with a girl?
TONY:
No comment. (turns to Billy) Oh, I have. All the time.
BILLY:
With who?
AJ:
Well?
TONY:
Several women. Or less. I don't know. That's just me.
BILLY:
Still I can't find a girl that can be my date.
TONY:
Why can't you?
BILLY:
No other girl wants to be bother with me. You know what? I'm gonna head to the computer lab if there's another girl that can go out with me to the dance.
TONY:
Ok. That's fine. See you later.
(Meanwhile, at a science division room in B-hall)
DEVIN (whispering):
Hey, can you sign my autograph?
AJ (whispering):
What for?
DEVIN (whispering):
Can you just sign it?
AJ:
Sure.
(AJ grabs one of his black Sharpie markers to sign Devin's autograph with the Lost Galaxy Power Rangers on it and writes "FROM THE POWER RANGERS" on it and puts the team's usual morph call "Go Galactic!" as he writes it.)
DEVIN:
Thanks man.
AJ:
You're quite welcome. Here.
(AJ then gives him his autograph back. Devin leaves.)
AJ:
So let me guess? That's day 2 with that girl again huh?
- Character Wardrobe and Description:
Gwen McQueen is a 38-39 year-old woman with black long hair. 5 ft. 4 in. (54). White. Petite. She wears a black slender PVC vest with a dark violet red skirt with a checkered pattern imprinted onto the skirt. In addition: stockings, and black high-heel boots.
AJ:
What should I do?
TONY:
I think I've seen her before. She looks so familuar.
AJ:
Is that the girl Billy was talking about?
TONY:
I think so. But I don't think she's the one. I know her.
AJ:
Really?
TONY:
Yes. Her and I are frie--or-- Were friends. I can't think of her name again.
AJ:
If you can't think of her name then how do you know her?
DEVIN (returns):
I know her.
AJ:
You do?
DEVIN:
Yeah. She's General Morshower's daughter. Her name is Gwen. Gwen McQueen. Her father is a military captain. Her father used to be on this ship before as one of the counsels onboard Terra Venture. Gwen is very shy when she is around people she's unfamiliar with.
AJ:
How shy is she?
DEVIN:
Well, for a girl like her with such beauty...Let's just say she doesn't speak.
AJ:
Gosh. She's beautiful. She reminds me of--
TONY:
Of who?
AJ:
Of a girl I once had a crush on years ago when I was 9 years old. And Gwen...Well, is one of my future examples. (now glances at her): That hair...Those eyes... Oh my god. Don't tell me she's bipolar. Poor woman. She is too pretty to be a bipolar person.
DEVIN:
Sometimes.
TONY:
Well, if Billy is trying to be a stalker, he needs to think fast. Are you sure if this is the girl Billy wants on a date to the dance?
AJ:
Absolutely. I'm sure.
(Out of the computer lab, the guys talk to Billy about him stalking Gwen)
BILLY:
Are you freakin' kidding me? So you're saying I was stalking her?
TONY:
Yeah. That's the truth.
BILLY (sees Gwen coming):
Oh shoot. You guys gotta hide me. I'm gonna get massacred!
AJ:
Hide yourself dumbass.
(Billy exits, by hiding behind the door. Gwen enters the scene)
GWEN:
Hi.
TONY:
Hi. (clears throat) Do I know you from before?
GWEN:
I dunno. Do I know you from before? My gosh. As if it was like we never met in like, years.
TONY:
I know.
BILLY:
(while still behind the door, getting Gwen's attention by making noise.) (coughs)
GWEN:
Do you hear something?
TONY:
What? No. Of course not.
GWEN:
That's strange. It sounded like someone was coughing behind the door. Is there someone behind the door?
BILLY:
Oh sh--! Alright. Alright. You got me. What do you want?
GWEN:
So let me guess, you were following me?
BILLY (in a weak voice):
Yes.
GWEN:
I don't believe it. You? As my stalker? I should press charges on you you know. I heard you followed me everywhere. You also stalked me on MySpace. Plus, you followed me on Facebook and Twitter like crazy. That really scared me to death.
BILLY (stammering nervously):
But-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-but-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I really want to take you out on a date to the Homecoming Dance next month.
GWEN:
I'm sorry Mr. "whoever-you-are", but I really have to hate to tell you this but my dad told me to tell you that he doesn't want me to be near you, see you nor talk to you.
BILLY:
Why is that?
GWEN:
Because he said so.
BILLY:
Say what?! That's so unfair. Shoot!
GWEN:
He also put me on a restraining order against you so you can stay away from me.
BILLY (to himself):
Holy [ ]. I'm so doomed.
GWEN:
I can be a very mean girl and I can do some really mean things.
BILLY (confused):
Huh?
GWEN:
Look and listen. I definitely don't want to go out with you to the Homecoming Dance and I definitely will not be going out with you on dates neither. I'm sorry sweetie. Nice seeing you though. I'm just not girlfriend material, for you. Sorry bud. (Gwen exits Billy's conversation and scene)
BILLY:
Did she just call me "sweetie"? Awkward. Boy, I'm so toast. She is so hot. She's such a foxy chick.
AJ:
She's only 38-years-old stupid!
BILLY:
I knew that.
